Corn plastic, poly-lactic-acid, is such a great idea. Here you have this plastic material that is made out of a renewable resource, you can grow it again every year. It is in its infancy right now and definitely has a ways to go before it becomes as good as it could be. Right now it is compostable, but it needs to be composted in a commercial facility and won’t biodegrade in your backyard...
